MISSION
STATEMENT
At Tobin Machining our goal is to deliver cost effective, quality
products on time by utilizing our metal cutting knowledge, combined
with automation techniques, in order to complete parts in one operation.
COMPANY
Tobin Machining Inc., formerly Tobin Tool & Die Co, was founded
by James Tobin in 1923. Throughout the 1930’s and 1940’s
Tobin moved into the single and multi-spindle screw machine industry.
The screw machine industry remained the concentration of the company
until the early 1980’s when they purchased their first CNC
Lathe. Today the focal point of the company is Computer Numerical
Control Machining. We specialize in turning and machining centers.
Today our goal is to deliver cost effective, quality products on
time by utilizing our metal cutting knowledge, combined with automation
techniques, in order to complete parts in one operation. By
making a part complete in one operation, we can reduce total part
cost due to reduced handling.
Today Tobin Machining is led by Thomas H. Tobin Jr.; the third generation
of a family owned and operated business. Under his guidance Tobin
Machining became ISO 9001: 2000 Certified in 2002.
In 2003 construction was completed on a 50,000 square foot state
of the art facility that features 45,000 square feet of lean manufacturing
space and a 5,000 square foot office. Currently 75% of the manufacturing
floor space is occupied but future expandability of the design and
land layout give us an additional 33,750 square feet of manufacturing
floor space if needed in the future. The factory is air conditioned
and bright to give employees the most comfortable working environment
possible which in turn leads to a more productive employee. The
facility also features a clean quality control room and assembly
room both with positive air flow.
Tobin Machining has different machines to meet your varied machining
needs.
